MegaPari Rules and Regulations in Kenya

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the official website and mobile application in Kenya. They apply to registration, betting services, deposits, withdrawals, bonuses, and access to any feature provided to Kenyan users. By creating an account or placing a bet, you confirm that you have read and accept these legal terms. Kenyan law and regulatory requirements, including those of the Betting Control and Licensing Board (BCLB), apply to all activity on the platform.

General Terms

By accessing or using the services, you agree to these terms, the privacy policy, the general betting rules, and any product-specific rules. You should read the latest version before each bet or use of the account.

Eligibility and registration

  • You must be at least 18 years old and legally allowed to bet under Kenyan law.
  • Registration requires truthful, up-to-date information, including your legal name, date of birth, and contact details.
  • Only one account per person, household, IP, or device is permitted unless we approve otherwise.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials and for all activity on your account.

Modification of terms

  • MegaPari may update these terms to reflect legal changes, product updates, or risk controls.
  • Material changes will be posted on the site or app. Continued use of services after changes means you accept the revised terms.

Proper use of services

  • Use the platform only for lawful betting on an event or market offered to Kenyan users.
  • Prohibited conduct includes: fraud, collusion, market manipulation, arbitrage based on obvious odds errors, automated scraping, account sharing, and any attempt to circumvent geographic or age restrictions.
  • We may suspend or close accounts, void bets, or restrict features where we detect breach of these rules.

Content and intellectual property

  • All site content, data, software, logos, and odds displays are protected by copyright and related intellectual property rights.
  • You may use content for personal, non-commercial purposes only and may not copy, modify, or redistribute without written consent.

Liability and disclaimers

  • Betting involves risk. You are responsible for the decisions you make and for assessing the odds and rules before placing bets.
  • Services are provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free data feeds, or continuous availability of events.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by Kenyan law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profits, or loss arising from telecommunications failures or third-party services.

Governing law and dispute resolution

  • These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
  • Disputes should be raised through our customer support first. If unresolved, you may escalate to the BCLB or seek relief in Kenyan courts.

General Betting Rules

Eligibility to place bets

  • Only verified users who are 18+ and resident or located in Kenya at the time of betting may place a bet.
  • We may request proof of age, identity, and location before accepting or settling bets.

Acceptance of a bet

  • A bet is accepted when it appears in your betting history with a confirmed ticket ID and status.
  • If a market is offered in error, or odds are obviously incorrect, we may void the bet or settle at the correct odds.
  • We reserve the right to refuse bets, limit stakes, or restrict markets for risk management or legal reasons.

Minimum and maximum stakes

  • Minimum and maximum stakes for bets are shown on the bet slip or market page.
  • Personal limits may apply based on account status, responsible gambling controls, or risk settings.

Settlement and calculation

  • Bets are settled based on the official result of the event as published by the relevant governing body.
  • If an event is postponed or abandoned, settlement follows the market rules displayed at the time of betting.
  • Winnings are calculated using the final odds at acceptance. Returns are credited to your account balance after official confirmation.
  • For accumulator bets, any leg that is void is settled at odds of 1.00, unless market rules provide otherwise.

Restrictions and market rules

  • Certain markets may be suspended, closed, or limited due to integrity concerns or legal restrictions.
  • You must read sport-specific or market-specific rules shown on the event page before placing bets.
  • Cash Out, where available, is offered at our discretion and may be unavailable during market suspension or system maintenance.

Cancellations and voids

  • Bets placed after an outcome is known or after an event has started due to technical delay may be void.
  • If incorrect participant names, venues, or start times are posted, we may void affected bets subject to market rules.
  • If we detect collusion, misuse of bonuses, or exploitation of data latency, we may cancel affected bets and adjust balances.

Bonuses and promotions

  • Bonus use is subject to specific terms, including wagering requirements, expiry, and market eligibility.
  • Abuse of bonuses, duplicate registration, or matched betting to gain unfair advantage may result in removal of bonuses and closure of the account.

Payment Rules

  • Accepted methods in Kenya include mobile money (such as M-Pesa and Airtel Money), bank transfers, and other options shown in the cashier.
  • Minimum and maximum deposit limits appear in the cashier and may vary by method.
  • Third-party fees may apply as charged by your payment provider.

Withdrawals

  • Withdrawals are processed to the same method used for deposits where possible, subject to KYC and AML checks.
  • Processing times depend on verification status, volume, and provider availability; typical timelines are displayed in the cashier.
  • We may set daily, weekly, or monthly withdrawal limits for security and regulatory compliance.

Verification and security

  • Before a first withdrawal, and at intervals thereafter, we may require identity verification (KYC), including a Kenyan national ID or passport, proof of address, and proof of payment method ownership.
  • Source of funds or source of wealth documents may be requested under AML obligations.

Fees, taxes, and adjustments

  • You are responsible for any mobile money or bank charges applied by your provider.
  • Taxes on betting stakes or winnings may be withheld in line with Kenyan law and Kenya Revenue Authority requirements.
  • Incorrect credits, chargebacks, or reversed payments may be debited from your balance.

Restrictions and cancellations

  • We may reverse or cancel deposits or withdrawals where fraud, chargeback risk, or regulatory non-compliance is suspected.
  • Where bonuses are involved, withdrawal may be restricted until wagering or other conditions are met.

  • Additional documents on source of funds or source of wealth may be required before large bets, deposits, or withdrawals are allowed.

Monitoring and detection

  • Transactions are monitored for unusual patterns, rapid cycles of deposits and withdrawals, or use of third-party accounts.
  • We may request explanations for activity that departs from your profile and pause transactions pending review.

Consequences of non-compliance

  • If we suspect AML violations, we may restrict the account, freeze funds, block transactions, or close the account.
  • Reports may be filed with competent authorities as required by law.
